David Letterman’s taping with Bill Murray just concluded, and a longtime friend of AICN who happened to be in the audience said Murray had things to say about “Ghostbusters III”:

He confirms they kill him in the beginning.

So while Peter Venkman indeed ends up a ghost in the proposed movie, he’s alive when it starts.

[Murray] doesn’t believe the movie will get made.

When I asked if Murray sounded serious about “Ghostbusters III” not getting made, I got this:

Yes. It was a "I'll believe it when I see it" tone.

Murray is on crutches tonight thanks to a skiing mishap but apparently put in another stellar talk-show performance.

He enjoyed doing the video game and told a great story about it.
