Universal's Wolfman has nards, nabs an R rating!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Yes, it's good news that Universal is going with the R-rated cut of Wolfman. Yay for gore and nudity and whatever else that may entitle us horror fans to. It does make me sad that it's big news when a high profile studio genre film gets an R rating out of the gate, but I guess I'll take what I can get. In the original pre-director shuffle Andrew Kevin Walker script there was a great montage sequence as Mr. Talbot goes on his first werewolf rampage. It read far more in line with An American Werewolf In London than the classic Universal monster, which isn't a bad thing. Especially now that it (hopefully) means we'll get some explicit werewolf carnage. That's one step. Hopefully Joe Johnston's direction and guiding hand in pacing, editing and the performances from his actors all come together in the end and we get a cool, bloody and fun werewolf flick. I guess we'll all see come February. -Quint quint@aintitcool.com Follow Me On Twitter
