Jalopnik.com, who recently did such a fine job covering & tracking the vehicles of Michael Bay's TRANSFORMERS, now brings us our first look at K.I.T.T. from the NBC KNIGHT RIDER TV sequel/revamp/backdoor relaunch.
This is a Ford Shelby GT500KR Mustang. You can see more photos of the car (different angles and whatnot) HERE.
In my script review of the project, I mentioned this iteration of K.I.T.T. has certain camouflage/shape shifting abilities; I'm not 100% certain if this image is showing us "pure" K.I.T.T., or some kind of altered version of the car (which happens several times in the script). If I had to bet on it, I'd say this is the regular, un-morphed version. Good God this paragraph sounds particularly, heinously Geeky.
In other KNIGHT RIDER news, today we learned that Bruce Davison (Senator Kelly in the first two X-MEN films) will appear in this show as Charles Graiman - a character formerly callled Charles Kamen, So says Hollywood Reporter.
Graimen is a key developer of Knight Industries K.I.T.T. project, and the brains behind an unspecified (but much wanted) item called Legion. At least, that's how it shook out in the draft I read. Wayne Kasserman and Greg Ellis (the later is from BEOWULF and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD'S END) have also jumped on board.
