James Marsters on VH1's STRANGE FREQUENCY!! Talk Back!!

I am – Hercules!!

Can any anthology show be worse than Fox’s “Night Visions?” Discover for yourself: “Strange Frequency” launches Saturday night at 10 p.m.

TV Guide says:

Debut: Roger Daltrey flexes his acting muscles as a devilish talent scout in the opener of this Twilight Zone-like anthology series involving music-themed storylines. The Who vocalist, who is also the series host, is no novice thespian: he starred in the Ken Russell films “Lisztomania” and “Tommy” (which was based on the Who's rock opera). In the opener, Daltrey plays Simon Rathmore, a Faustian agent interested in a roadie (James Marsters) whose lust for killer guitar chops and his boss's girlfriend leads to a fateful pact. The program, based on a VH1 teleplay of the same name, is the network's first original drama series.

The Hollywood Reporter says:

VH1 spins into "Tales From the Crypt" territory by way of "The Twilight Zone" with its new anthology series "Strange Frequency," but the first two tales submitted for our approval aren't particularly scary, surprising or involving … Director Neal Fearnley fails to bring us scares or twists in the predictable script by Carl Dupre and Dan Merchant (who also serves as one of the executive producers). Cinematography by DP Phil Linzey, however, is intriguingly realized.
