A Look at Guy Ritchie's next film SWEPT AWAY starring Madonna!

Hey folks, Harry here with the latest on Guy Ritchie's next project. Personally I love Guy Ritchie's films. LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS and SNATCH have been an absolute joy thus far. They are not for all tastes, and thank God for that. I'm tired of films being pre-chewed and spiced for the masses, Guy's films feel like he's making them to entertain himself. And that, I like. Here's our spy Blake Falls with the scoop:

Hi Harry,

Blake Falls here with some news about Guy Ritchie`s follow-up to SNATCH, working title: SWEPT AWAY

Guy have his script ready, which will be a remake of the italien movie "Travolti da un insolito destino nell'azzurro mare d'Agosto" also known as SWEPT AWAY, directed 1975 by Lina Wertmüller. So what´s it all about: A spoiled rich woman goes on a yachting holiday with friends in the Mediterranean and finds herself an unlikely romance with a communist sailor. Ritchie looks to direct. Madonna looks to star in.

cheers:

Alright, now that you've learned that, let me illuminate you further. The film will be shot in Italy, Greece and Turkey. Madonna plays Amber, who is going on a cruise with her best friend. Her husband is a super powerful over-the-counter drug lord (read legal drug dude) that has made billions. The ship is an Italian Cruise vessel. Through a series of twists Madonna ends up on a series of perilous adventures with Gennarino, an Italian fisherman, who's been forced by life to cease fishing and work on this cruise ship. The interesting part is that this will be an Italian actor who speaks Italian fluently. This should be very very fun. I don't know if you folks checked out Guy Ritchie's BMWmovie that he did with Madonna, or their banned from MTV video, but it seems that Guy enjoys turning Madonna's image on it's head, making for some very fun self-effacing humor.

No matter what though, I look forward to this one. And to all you Madonna haters, bugger off, she rules. She was robbed on EVITA, yes, I did love it! Blow me.
