Here's info from a Ewan McGregor interview that ran up in Canada. Some interesting bits, but not much overall. No spoilers are contained!
I was reading over the Montreal Gazette this weekend when I happened upon this interesting interview by Bredan Kelly with Ewan McGregor. He's in Montreal right now filming 'Eye of the Beholder'. When asked what he was going to do when Episode 1 comes out, he replied "I'm going to make sure I'm doing a small independent film up the back end of Scotland somewhere, where I can't be reached by phone."
Speaking about his uncle Denis Lawson (Wedge), Ewan said "It was just tedious for him. He said it was the worst work he had ever done, but he still gets fan mail about it. He didn't think I should do it. But I think it would've been very hard to turn down. Some of it was thrilling, seeing characters we know and love. And having a lightsaber was tops. The process of making those films is quite tedious, though. It's so technical. There's no character discovery to be had. It's just a lot of frowning and that's it really."
McGregor also admits that Star Wars was an offer he couldn't refuse because it ensures that he won't have to worry about his family's financial well-being any time soon.
If you need an alias for me then 'Turge'.
