Guy Pearce up for DAREDEVIL'

Hey Folks, Harry here... seems that Comics Continuum learned last week that Guy Pearce's name is apparently somewhere on Mark Steven Johnson's list. I hear that this weekend's PLANET OF THE APES grosses will do wonders for the DAREDEVIL project in giving Fox the confidence for a full green light on the project. Rumors floating around the Fox offices amongst my army of nanobots have been rumors that Fox is worried that the material and character are too close to SPIDER-MAN. Never mind the fact that one is a story about a teenager and the other is a story about a MAN. That since SPIDER-MAN didn't do the Gwen Stacy story, and they're doing DAREDEVIL/ELEKTRA SAGA... that they have the superior written material. AND, that this is the first time in Comic-to-Film adaptation history that THE BEST CLASSIC STORY of a character is being directly adapted onto the screen. It would be like Fox doing the FANTASTIC FOUR 48, 49, 50 arc. This script has DAREDEVIL at his single most defining hour. That this isn't just a great comic book film, but an epic human story. That Daredevil is human 100% beneath his costume... Sigh... Meanwhile, I think Guy Pearce would be a GOD in this role. I suggested him quite some time ago, and have been dreaming of Guy taking this one on. It'd be amazing for him. Let's pray.

Hey Harry,

Just read over at the Comics Continuum that they learned from an "inside source" that Guy Pearce is definitely in the running for the role of everybody's favorite blind lawyer/superhero - Daredevil!

If this is true, it's really good news. If you decide to use this, just call me Fantastic X.
