Hey folks, Harry here... Wow... Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller as STARSKY & HUTCH? Could that ever possibly come to pass? Well, Vince went on Regis and talked about getting set to do it, so I suppose it is a high chance that it's true. I remember years ago when the producers were shopping this project around, and Robert Rodriguez was considering it. I flipped out going, "Why the hell would you want to do something stupid like that?" Then Robert showed me a few episodes and then told me to imagine it as a pair of just asshole cops in the seventies breaking all the rules, yet coming through looking like heroes when these guys were the bad guys all along. I remember spending hours throwing out combinations of male leads.... RUSSELL CROWE & GEORGE CLOONEY was my fave... and they'd have to be bastards in the film. Alas... twas not to be. Hmm, with these two I wonder if they are going mean as hell or tongue in cheek... It'd be a nice change of pace for Stiller to do something serious. I'd like that. We'll see...
I'm not sure if anyone has sent this to you yet...I am not even sure if it is news, it is probably common knowledge to everyone but me. Today, for some odd reason, I was watching Regis and "the other woman". Vince Vaughn was one of the guests, and he mentioned that he and Ben Stiller are working on a Starsky and Hutch movie. I found it sort of interesting.
