Hey folks, Harry here.... It seems that Steven Soderbergh is going to make an untitled sequel project to his highly influential indie debut, SEX, LIES AND VIDEOTAPE... Of course, the title that would make sense would be SEX, LIES AND DV, since that's the biggest change since the original film was released.
There is no word on a returning cast, or if it is truly a sequel, or in the style of... sort of film. The story was broken by Zorianna Kitt over at Hollywood reporter and says that after Soderbergh finishes the film for Miramax, he'll begin work on his James Cameron produced remake of Andrei Tarkovsky's SOLARIS. Drool drool drool... of course the title could be MARRIAGE, BANKRUPTCY AND DV... hehhee, god that sounds depressing. hehehe... We'll just have to wait and see...
Well folks... just got a very interesting add on to the story...
Just read your posting about the sequal to SLV on the site. The Hollywood Reporter got it wrong. Soderbergh is going to be shooting a sequal to "Schizopolis" tentatively titled, "Son of Schizopolis". It is going to be produced by John Hardy and will feature many returning cast members. I'm a college student at LSU, Baton Rouge (where "Sex, Lies".."Schizopolis"..."Gray's Anatomy"..and parts of "Out of Sight" were shot). I have many friends who were either featured in or worked crew on the first schizopolis and have already been contacted by Soderbergh's people regarding the sequal.

Now, is this the 'untitled' film that MIRAMAX is making with Soderbergh or a quickie that Soderbergh will bang out before a SLV sequel? All I know, is I would want 30000 times more to see a sequel to SCHIZOPOLIS than SEX LIES AND VIDEOTAPE... We'll see soon enough!
