Hi Harry
Thought you might like some info on a cool festival being held here in London over the August Bank Holiday weekend, a great opportunity for us British genre fans to catch a glance at some weird and disturbing new features - yes, it's The London Frightfest 2001!
Last year's event included preview screenings of "Ed Gein", "Pitch Black", "Scary Movie", "Ring 2" and "Audition"...
Here's the lowdown on THIS year's event, straight from the festival website...
FRIGHTFEST 2001 will be held at The Prince Charles Cinema just off Leicester Square central London over the August Bank Holiday Weekend 24th to 27th. The cinema is fully air conditioned, if in the unlikely event that it is sunny we will all stay pleasantly cool (whilst watching some very cool movie preview screenings)!
For those 1st timers out there here's a brief guide to the festival. This year will follow last years basic format.
15 Movie premiere/preview screenings over 4 days. Many of the films will be introduced by the relevant director/stars involved. We will also be showing many new short films from around the world. There will also be exclusive new genre trailers and promo reels screened and lots of free promo merchandise given out - even more than last year!
This years event is being filmed by OPI who produced the OutThere series. The Frightfest TV special will be screened over the Halloween weekend. We will also be exclusiveley previewing an episode from the new series of Urban Gothic, the creators of which will also be in attendance.

REVELATION - A fantastical voyage into provocative and compelling religious territory with a remarkable base in reality
SCARY MOVIE 2 - No sequel my arse! Expect dirty jokes and in-jokes galore in this sequel to last years smash hit film
