Love Pee-wee. Love Paul Reubens. Love the new game shows. And based on the “You Don’t Know Jack” promos, have very little interest in watching.
ABC burns off two episodes Wednesday night, starting at 8 p.m.

Debut: Paul Reubens trades in his Pee-wee Herman persona for that of a very theatrical game-show host named Troy Stevens in this version of the popular CD-Rom Internet game. Jack fans will recognize the insouciant, off-kilter multiple-choice questions. “We've deconstructed a game show for comedic purposes,” says co-executive producer Robert Morton, a veteran of David Letterman's shows. Leading the comedic charge: the arrogant, pompous and lazy Stevens, who's not above distracting each show's three contestants as they ponder their answers. (They can win up to $50,000.) But don't take him too seriously. “He's antagonistic,” says Morton. “But in a fun way.”
