Hey folks... Harry here... so yesterday I published the photo of that 'calendar' of Marvel's Film and TV Future... and it clearly stated that GHOST RIDER was set for 2004 release. But apparently noone at Marvel consulted with director Stephen Norrington! Stephen checked out the story... read the talk backs and wanted to set things straight so that all of us GHOST RIDER fans would know where the film stood! KICK ASS! It looks like Winter 2002 or Summer 2003 at the latest! Here's what Norrington had to say about it....
I saw some talk back regarding Marvel's announcing Ghost Rider for 2004 -
that's not correct at all, I don't know why Marvel are saying that - we've got storyboard artists working, digital and practical effects tests happening, and locations getting locked down. The new shooting draft comes in on Friday. So unless something really bad happens in the future, we should start shooting sometime this fall and that would mean the picture would realistically be ready sometime Winter 2002. At the very latest the movie would be held back for a summer release 2003.
That is of course barring some unforseeable hurdles.
Later,
Norrington
Killer! Man, I can't wait to see ol flamehead tearing up the road at night! Hmmmm....
