Can you believe that Martin Lawrence is playing the same character in this film that Robert Redford played in THE HOT ROCK? I'm a big fan of Donald Westlake, which might be reason enough to avoid this film that made Harry belch bile down the phone line at me the other afternoon. Any of you venture forth for this one yet?

I saw this film. Why did I go? What possessed me? Well, generally I have a feeling that I'm going to hate all Martin Lawrence movies before seeing them, but for some odd reason... somehow... I end up liking the damn things. UNTIL NOW. This film was just horrendously awful. I thought about writing a review talking about wasted Donald Westlake material, but I just don't want to spend another hour of my life writing about this piece of shit. It shat in my brain for however long it did and I wanted it gone from my brain instantly. The saddest thing is the entire plotline of this Westlake story was cannibalized from an old Parker story that he wrote a billion years ago.... which was a fantastic... amazing... stupendously glorious crime novel with balls... and not this fluff crap. SEE MOULIN ROUGE!
