The deal is in place, Vin wants to play HELLBOY and the studio apparently likes it. However, UNIVERSAL has not yet decided to make the movie yet, but that's not to worry, the project is too strong to not get picked up elsewhere... New Line once had quite an interest in it, and with Dimension producing something like GHOST RIDER by Norrington... how cool would it be to have From THe Company That Brought you GHOST RIDER comes HELLBOY... That'd work. Anyway, can't you just hear that Diesel voice coming out of Hellboy? That deep boulder tumbling gravel of a voice. Vin my man.... When we playing D&D in that Castle bud? Hehehe.... Can't wait to see him in the overcoat... can't wait for the Rick Baker makeup... Can't wait for Abe....
According to an article in the Oregonian today, not only is Hellboy artist/writer Mike Mignola working as a visual consultant on "Blade 2" with Guillermo del Toro but "the two may be teaming again for a 'Hellboy' movie, if Universal approves the Dark Horse proposal, which would star Vin Diesel."
