Well, Mr Eyeball, one of our spies on the Warner lot, says there is currently 3 points that are floating around the lot. These three points are allegedly the reasons why Superman was shown the kryptonite. Hmmmm... they all sound.. logical to me. And we do know that ol Mr Cage had just recently seen the final designs for the costume (thanks to his little boy for the underoos). And it is quite likely that the rubber suit looked...stupid. And here's a point... Why would Superman wear a rubber suit? Wasn't his costume made from the cloth that he was wrapped in as a little tyke? Isn't Superman all natural? Right? Hmmmm... Well, I have to say I wanted to see a Superman film, but I'm glad as hell (as I am with Univesal's HULK) that they stood back, evaluated the project and came to a rational decision. Here's Mr. Eyeball's report...
Mr. Eyeball here. I'm working on another show at warners now and what I hear is that Superman is very dead. The execs supposedly backed out for three reasons:
1) The budget which was over 120 million.
2) The script was terrible.
3) They did a screen test where nick cage wore the rubber suit and wig. After seeing they knew there was no way this would work.
I can't confirm this information, this is just what everyone is saying.
