“The sophomore-season finale has things popping in Pylea as Angel, Cordelia, Wesley, Gunn and the Host find it increasingly complicated to get out of the foreign dimension. Figurehead princess Cordy is trapped in the palace by the ill-intentioned priest Silas, who is also responsible for the Host's recent beheading. Luckily, Lorne's bizarre physiology allows his ever-talkative head to survive, provided his body isn't mutilated. Groo, fueled by his love for Cordelia, ends up fighting the Angelbeast. Otherwise, TV Guide pretty much tells the story.

Of course. Groo helps to secretly transport it home to Camp Deathwok.

In about 55 minutes.
How long does it take for “Army of Darkness”-like automobile mayhem to kick in?
There is no “Army of Darkness”-like automobile mayhem. We don’t see the car again until it crashes through the portal into Krevlornswath’s club.
What? It never occurs to Gunn or Angel to chase around those evil monk guys with a black convertible?
Nope.
Does Krevlornswath return? Does it look like Fred’s a regular next season?

Any surprises?
Cordy, at one point, is offered the chance to purge herself of her painful visions. Silas, we learn, has a “doomsday device” capable of decapitating every slave in Pylea.

This is technically a crossover episode.

Nope. It’s all over with by the time the gang gets back to HQ.

Cordy remains half-naked the entire episode!
What’s not so good?
It looks like the writers squandered every one of the fun surprises last week. The big shocker tonight is the aforementioned absence of automotive mayhem. And where 2.21 came packed with big-time hilarity, this one conjures nary a giggle (though not for lack of trying).
