More about that succulent Tarantino Secret Movie Rumor that everyone loves...

Ya know, I've never seen a rumor that so many people wanted to believe to be true so bad in my life. All along I've said that there was at least a 94% chance that the rumor wasn't true... the only thing that kept it alive in my mind was that Noone official has denied it. Quentin has been seen, allegedly asked, but never commented with a positive or negative.
Now at this point I believe that the rumor has about a 73/82% chance of being true... Ok, less than 1%, but let's take a look at the current developments regarding the whole rumor thing.
What about the rumor that Tarantino has made a film in secret and will premiere it at the festival?" This has been reported by Harry Knowles on his Ain't It Cool Web site, and has everyone in a lather.
"Fat chance," he says. "Assuming Quentin could make a film in secret, how would he do the secret post-production? Where would he find the secret labs and sound mixing studios?"
Ok, first off... that's a non-denial denial by the producer that has produced RESERVOIR DOGS, PULP FICTION, JACKIE BROWN and is on record as producing KILL BILL and he says, "Fat Chance"?
A fat chance is actually greater odds than I've ever given this rumor as being true... a fat chance is at least a 25% or greater chance... I mean, he didn't say, "NO CHANCE" or "IT IS TOTAL BULLSHIT!" Which is frankly what I'm dying for someone to say so this rumor could go to bed.
As for the secret labs? The secret sound mixing studios? First, Labs and Sound Mixing Studios... I almost NEVER GET RUMORS OR LEAKS FROM! That one on David Fincher's THE PANIC ROOM was the exception, not the rule. 2nd... If Quentin went out with a Sony 24 fp High-Def camera (like the one Robert Rodriguez owns)... If he has set up a sound lab at all like the one Rodriguez has at his house... Well... keeping Post quiet is the easiest part... This is the part of the process that is the easiest to keep quiet. If someone wanted to handle a secret suprise screening... Bringing in a Digital Projector under a 'demonstration of technology ploy' by the manufacturer would be simple...
Hell, I've heard Robert talk about shooting secret films with his Sony 24 fp High-Def camera and just recording another film over it if it sucks.
Now... is it likely that Tarantino did all of this??? NO.
Is it humanly possible that he could??? YES.
Does that mean it has happened? NO.
If it is not true, why doesn't Bender just say, "It's a buncha bull, Quentin and I have been laughing our asses off about this one. It's totally untrue."
Or could it be that it is true? OR could it be that Bender and Tarantino are enjoying watching the press run in circles, the critics froth at the mouths and love having the spectre of a suprise Tarantino film looming over this year's events like a guillotine? OR it could be that Quentin doesn't feel the rumor is worth his time denying and would rather watch films and hang out with friends at Cannes? It is... most likely... One of the three.
The one with the absolute least chance is the first one... followed by the second, leaving that last option as the most likely.
One thing is for certain... This rumor has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the world really craves and hungers for the new Tarantino flick... no matter what it is. I just can't believe the rumor has gotten this far out of hand... It's basically a simple yes or no question... but noone seems to speak simply...
