Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.

Right before Harry got on the plane to Cannes, someone sent him a link to the new AMERICAN PIE 2 trailer in .asf format. It promptly crashed his Powerbook and sent him into a frantic rush to fix it before leaving. As a result, we never did get around to posting that original link. Turns out, that's not a problem, since Universal has been nice enough to get Apple.com to post the trailer in Quicktime format. It's a nice enough teaser, and I hope all the rumors I've been hearing about Universal cutting the balls off this film in an effort to appease Lieberman and his bloodthirsty mob of morons are just empty rumors, pointless speculation. AMERICAN PIE was rude, but there was a real sweetness to it, too, and it's that balance that made the film work. Don't chase the PG-13 audience your film can't have. Embrace what the film is and set them free to make us laugh. A few really raunchy jokes aren't going to torch the Constitution anytime soon.
