Reporter: WB Keeping "Angel"' UPN Snatching "Roswell"' "X-Files" in Play' "Norm" Gone'

Some highlights from The Hollywood Reporter’s story this morning speculating on next week’s autumn schedule announcements :

The big news:

The WB “will probably keep” “Angel”; UPN “is eyeing” “Roswell”; “X-Files” is still in play; “Norm” is not expected back.

ABC:

“Norm,” “Two Guys and a Girl” and Gideon’s Crossing” are said to be history.

“Millionaire” may go back to three nights: Sunday, Monday and Friday.

The Buffyesque "Alias," about a college girl/secret agent (starring Jennifer Garner)

The Steven Bochco lawyer show "Philly” (starring Kim Delaney)

"Thieves," about a government-funded ex-crook (starring John Stamos)

CBS:

“Family Law” is likely back; “Diagnosis Murder” and “Nash Bridges” may still return.

According to the Reporter: "CBS' dramatic moves are expected to include Richard Dreyfuss' 'The Education of Max Bickford,' the John Wells-Lydia Woodward drama starring James Cromwell, the Chris Keyser-Amy Lippman medical dramedy 'The Heart Department' and the inside-the-CIA vehicle 'The Agency.' 'Bickford' and 'The Agency' are rumored as potential companions for 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' on Thursday, while the Wells-Woodward drama is said to be considered for 10 p.m. Monday or 8 p.m. Wednesday. The Jerry Bruckheimer-produced reality-adventure series 'The Amazing Race' also is said to have a shot at a fall slot but could also run over the summer."

"Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and fellow copshow "Undercover” may fill late Sunday night.

The sportscaster-centric "Inside Schwartz" may get the slot after “Friends.”

The Emeril Lagasse sitcom and the medical sitcom "Scrubs" may join “Three Sisters” on Tuesday.

FOX:

"Grounded for Life" and "Malcolm in the Middle” may anchor Wednesdays.

"24" (Keifer Sutherland is a fed with 24 hours to stop an assassination).
