Hey folks, Harry here... Over at Dark Horizons, Garth posted a link to the Japanese PEARL HARBOR One Sheet (Click Here To See It) and as I stared at the quite beautiful and tragic poster, I began to ponder what the trailers must look like or feel like in Japan... I noticed the site address for the Japanese DISNEY Site and figured I'd attempt to see if I could find the trailer... Thank god HTML is HTML everywhere!
Now the trailers are not radically different, but... There's just something profoundly ODD about see a trailer for PEARL HARBOR with Japanese caligraphy all over it... and then there's the slight voice overs... This was the film that many said Japan would get in an uproar about, we'll see. Pearl Harbor and World War 2 is something of a sore spot between everyone involved and touched by the events... It'll be interesting to see how Michael Bay has played it.... In the script there was a nod to the Japanese that they felt it was inevitable that the U.S. was going to enter the war and that the preemptive first strike was necessary in order to survive. And there are those that feel it may not be the path to pursue.... At least in the script, we'll see what makes the cut. But... For now...
