Unfortunately all I could get to work is the lame Real Video trailer to work.... Ah, pretty square pixel boxes! Joy! Sigh... Anyways, check it out this looks possibly great!
Hi, Harry!
Ye is here!
Remember Purple Sun, the WWII film I told you about
last year? You posted two of my e-mails. It has been
all silence until now. The film has just been released
in China and the official English name is Purple
Sunset. Just to refresh your memory, here is the
description of the story: on August 9, 1945, the
Soviet started to attack the Japanese in the Northeast
China, Manchuria. On the 15th, the day the Japanese
surrendered, a concentration camp was liberated and
the sole survivor, a Chinese farmer, was ordered to
sent back to the Soviet base with some wounded Soviet
soldiers. Unfortunately, their armor vehicle
accidentally entered a Japanese base. Under heavy
fire, the farmer, a Soviet female lieutenant medic and
a Japanese girl run into the forest. The girl tried to
lead them into the Japanese while pretending to know
the way to safety. The medic asked the farmer to kill
the traitor, but the farm couldn't do it. Lost in the
wilderness, they have to cope the barrier of mistrust
and the boundary of languages to find a way out The opening sequence involving hundreds of Soviet T-34
tanks breaking through the Japanese line formed by
some Japanese tanks and light artilleries. The
director borrowed ten T-34s, several Japanese tanks as
well as some artilleries from the museum and made them
operational after some major repair. The other
sequence is the Kamikaze attack on an America carrier,
which was shoot on the Soviet carrier Minsk, currently
docked in Shenzhen, China.

Also, there might be another Jet Li flick in planning
ˆ Angle's Dusk, a co-production of Columbia Tristar
and Jet Li's own company. According to some report,
the plot might be somewhat similar to the one of
Charlie's Angles and Yuen Kwai will direct. Hsu Chi,
Zhao Wei and Cecilia Cheung will play the angles and
the shooting in Thailand may start in June.
