Hey folks, remember that film that was gathering praise at SXSW from geeks on the site? SANITY. Well you lucky scumbags in Los Angeles are going to get a gander at the film, gratis. That's right, a free screening. So all you studio types looking for talent, and you film geeks looking for a good film, go check it out. Personally, I like the film, and so does everyone else I know that saw it. It's a cool film. It's a sick and twisted romp into the world of screwed up lady. There's a lot of wicked black humor that some might not like, but as for me, I giggle with delight. Heck, even Hallenbeck liked it, sheesh, you know how hard that is. The two leads are captivating, and I felt the story was as well. But screw what I think, you are your own person. Get some friends, tie each other up and tickle each other for about 40 minutes each before seeing the film. This is the kind of film that you need to get in that 'I'm gonna have fun' mindset. It's not perfect, but hell very few things are... (an AMY's Ice Cream Banana Split being one)
Go have fun, go see it. It's a film to hoot and holler with. And the filmmaker, Geneva Fowler, will be present for an introduction and a Q & A. Feel free to shower her with presents, specifically a good bottle of red wine.
Here's when and where the screening will take place:
Monday, April 20th, 7:30PM
Raleigh Studios (Across from Paramount)
Chaplin Screening Room
