I was walking to my afternoon classes @ NYU, when I stumbled upon what seemed to be, at first glance, a perfectly ordinary craft services table. "Sweet," I thought to myself, "free donuts!" - but then the movie-geek alarm went off at a hundred decibels, and I knew that the identity of whatever was being filmed had to be discerned before any pastry-snatching could take place.
Walking down the block, I see Sam Rami pop his head out the side of a trailer. HOLY SHIT! SPIDERMAN IS FILMING AT MY SCHOOL!
Apparently, some rooftop footage was going to be lensed right by campus, atop a building on the corner of Broadway and West 4th - I'm not sure if actual footage was being shot while I was there, because the crew was still setting up, so this could bode well for some nighttime ass-whooping in the film.
