Tiny Tidbit about SPIDER-MAN!

Hey folks, Harry here... the following is a minor scoop for real Spidey-geeks only... The ones that know that Peter Parker happens to of inherited his Aunt's thimble abilities and in his current hobby needs them desperately... Now the key is... is there any karo and red dye number five dripping out a nasal canal, or from a split lip... or how about a broken rib and some ace bandages and scotch tape? Oh yeah, now we talking...

Hey Harry.

Gotta say it- Long time reader, first time reporter. Nicities now being out of the way I have a miniscule piece of information on the filming of Spiderman.

I have a relative that works for Sony and has seen quite a lot of the filming while on lunch breaks and the like. Most of what he's told me about had already been reported and he was pretty amazed at how much has leaked and it's accuracy. Well, here's one little thing that hasn't seen print yet. It may seem pretty insignificant, but as a long time comic fan I was pleased to hear about it.

Ready?

Spidey's clothes get ripped up pretty bad during the fight scenes.

I know a lot of folks will roll their eyes at this but some of the fondest memories I have of reading Spiderman comics as a child were based around the fact that the only thing that really seperated Peter and I was the bite of a radioactive spider. He had girl problems, money problems, family problems. He dealt with all the stuff that I did PLUS the fact that he had to battle Doctor Octopus and the Green Goblin. When he was finished he had to go home and sew up his costume and get ready for the next day when he would have to do it all over again. Some of the coolest images I remember of Spidey had his costume in tatters while he continued to fight on.

Anyway-

This relative of mine was walking down a hallway near some of the studios where the green-screen filming is going to take place and a stuntman in a Spidey suit passed him on the way to a shoot. According to my source both of the lenses in the mask were broken and there were rips and tears all over the uniform. "It looked pretty shredded" were his exact words, I think.

That's about all for now, but I'll keep my ear to the ground and let you know if anything more interesting comes along.

I never thought of giving myself one of those cool aliases, but I guess you can call me Rowlf the Dog.
