Hey folks, Harry here with a waaaaaay too short look at the set of A BEAUTIFUL MIND, the next film from Ron Howard featuring Russell "I've gots me an Oscar" Crowe and Jennifer "I will marry Harry" Connelly... Hey you can't blame me for being optimistic and delusional! Here's the scoop....
Hey Harry, first time scooper here.
Ron Howard was at my school filming scenes from "a beautiful mind". They came to Fordham University in the Bronx New York to film in the basement of Keating Hall. This was my first time breaking on to a movie set but i found the key. Dress nice but casual and walk around like your shit don't stink. As the first security guard approached me to question me I imediately asked him to escort me to the bathroom. He thought I was someone important to demand such a thing and let me stay. Anyways, the scene they were filming took place in a 1950's war room, complete with "towering IBM computers" as they were described in the sides. I walked onto the set earlier in that day and got some pictures of that I should have in a few days. Russell was the only member of the priciple cast on the set although I heard Jennifer Connoly was filming scenes with Crowe earlier in the day at nearby Bronx Community College. A dozen or so miltary extras were also on hand. All and all the set was amazing, Universal had been constructing it for a week from scratch. Thanks! The whole job was alot of fun and the free food was amazing.
