Hopefully the below pic from A BUG'S LIFE is clear enough for you. I know this is the first time we can clearly see so many characters. Personally I'm dying to behold the grasshoppers in all their evil glory.
What you see below is a whole lotta images from MULAN, this summer's DISNEY epic. I can say this about them, there is some very beautiful 1930-ish Disney images there, in particular, I'm talking about the first two. The insect on the leaf is beautiful. However, in typical modern animation format, there does seem to be an inconsistency in animation look from pic to pic. Notice how well the bug belongs to it's enviroment, yet look at the human characters and how flat they seem. The lines seem too hard on some characters and not enough on others. I'm hoping for the best on this project. I've been disappointed in the last couple of Disney Animation pieces, and I really hope they can pull MULAN off, though I do have to confess to harboring a favor to MONONOKE HIME, if only because Robogeek would kill me otherwise. And take a look at the last pic. Reminiscient of Sleeping Beauty? I thought so. Seems to have that same style there. Well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed, and the test screenings did rule favorably for this one. Well, there's no way it'll suck near as bad as Quest for Camelot!!!
