Eli Roth is not a pornographer, no matter what Yahoo may link him with!

Hey folks, Harry here hoping to alleviate some confusion caused by the wrong link that Reuters/Yahoo's Variety Entertainment page funked up today. The following is pretty self-explanatory, but I figured I'd help ol Eli Roth out with the correct info. But the question is this... Which is worse... to be attached to Softcore Porn or to a future Tom Arnold flick? And could the two be entwined? AHA!!! Now we're getting somewhere! Sorry Eli, just having a little fun with this amusing confusion. Sigh... I can imagine how unfunny it must be for Eli though.... the letters.... constantly flowing at him.... PORNOGRAPHER!!!! they accuse... Well, it worked for Larry Flynt! :)

Hello Harry,

My name is Eli Roth, and I am the co-writer of a new film for Camryn Manheim called "The Extra."

There's an article about it in today's Variety on line. At This Location

HOWEVER, the same story was also posted on yahoo.com's movie news, but they mistakedly linked my writing credit to a softcore porn film from 1993. I wrote a horror film called "Cabin Fever" that I will direct this summer. Tom Arnold, Allison Eastwood, and Michael Rosenbaum ("Urban Legend") are attached, and we are shooting this summer. Yahoo.com, in their brilliant reporting, somehow put a link from my credit for "Cabin Fever" to a softcore porn film from 1993. People now think I'm a pornographer. So if you are planning on writing anything at all about "The Extra," (the details of which I'm happy to share), please know that I had nothing to do with the 1993 softcore porn movie called "Cabin Fever."

A bit about me...I created, wrote, produced, directed and animated a show for Z.com called "The Rotten Fruit," and worked closely with David Lynch, producing short films and music videos for his upcoming site, Davidlynch.com. I am also a big fan of your site.

Best regards,

Eli Roth
