Burt Bacharach, AUSTIN POWERS 3 and Alexander Payne... Could there possibly be a connection' Not likely...

Hey folks, Harry here... Could this source be any more eclectic than to bring in Burt Bacharach, Austin Powers and Alexander Payne's latest film? I don't think so... maybe if he threw in some info about Wim Wenders and Michael Bay to loosen it up a bit more, we'd be getting somewhere... hehehe... For anyone not eager about Alexander Payne's next film.... GO RENT ELECTION NOW!!!!! Read on....

Thought you'd like to know this bit of info:

It almost shames me to say there is nothing quite like being the only single individual between the ages of 10 and 40 at a sold out symphonic performance of Burt Bacharach in an auditorium of dentures clacking in all their polydential glory. While introducing a series of melodies from his film compositions (WHAT'S NEW, PUSSYCAT?, CASINO ROYAL, AUTHUR, THE BLOB!), he asked if anyone had heard of the AUSTIN POWERS films. About six of us littered our cheers into the silence. "It's amazing what a film will do for your career in the eyes of seven year olds," he laughed.

"Mike Myers' is working on Austin Powers 3," he continued. "And I don't know what he's doing but I do hope I get to be in it."

Damn do I hope so, too.

As to Alexander Payne's project, ABOUT SCHMIDT, and Jack Nicholson sightings throughout Omaha, Nebraska...

Hubaloo, local ads capitalizing on where Jack ate, and rumors abound about the local filming which borderline on tabloid. Friday night, though, I found myself amongst police cordons as they kept the star-struck and film buffs (all 15 of us, plus traffic) at bay as production crews set lights for some scene to be shot later in the night in front of Johnny's Cafe, a South Omaha steakhouse. Although I can't be entirely certain, the shot probably utilizes the restaraunt's bronze cattle antlers that set its front doors - a subject of many childhood nightmares. I didn't catch a glimpse of Jack or Cathy Bates, the parking lot being disgustingly crammed with production tents and equipment, but I'm hoping in this *realtively* small town, I'll get more bits for you soon.

Cheers,

Daniel
