Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.

UPDATED - 4:38 PST - THURSDAY!!

I'm trying to get in touch with the COMING ATTRACTIONS gang right now, because I'm puzzled. I don't see any way those WEREN'T pictures of Gwenyth. It's not like there's a dozen different giant fat girl characters in the film. There's just the one, with long straight honey-blonde hair. At first I thought maybe Fox wanted the photos removed because it was meant to be "secret," but Pete Farrelly has already mentioned the fat suit in a number of interviews. Whatever the case, I'm not going to scream "THOSE WERE 100% REAL!!!" but I am confident that CA had their story right. Guess we'll see how this all plays out...

WE NOW RETURN YOU TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT, ALREADY IN PROGRESS...

Congrats to Pat Sauriol and the COMING ATTRACTIONS gang on scoring the first look at Gwenyth Paltrow in her SHALLOW HAL makeup. Let me warn you... it's a major spoiler to go look at the pictures, but if you don't mind, they're very, very cool.

CHECK THESE BAD BOYS OUT!!

SHALLOW HAL is, for those who aren't up to speed, the new film directed by the Farrelly Bros. It stars Jack Black, Jason Alexander, and Gwenyth Paltrow, with Black playing the title role. He's a young man whose father gave him terrifically bad deathbed advice, telling him to only chase girls who are beautiful, since nothing else matters. Hal grows up unable to even start a serious relationship, much less maintain one. Alexander is his no-good friend, just as big a pig. Under mysterious circumstances, Hal gains the ability to see people as the manifestations of their inner selves. As a result, when he meets Gwenyth, he sees the actress the way we all know her -- slim, trim, blonde, and beautiful. The pictures on CA today show Gwenyth the way the rest of the world sees her. It's a remarkable makeup job. Hats off to the team working on the film.

Also, I have seen the report that's up at Dark Horizons today where someone mentions a different look for Gwenyth. He's describing a different character altogether. That's definitely Gwenyth in the links I listed above. The script for the film is VERY SPECIFIC in its description of her.

"Moriarty" out.
