Hey folks, Harry here and how cool would it be to watch Sam Raimi on set hurling rocks at fleeing extras? How cool would it be to actually be pelted by a rock that Raimi threw? I mean, I've heard this is how Bruce Campbell got all his minerals back in the eighties! Read on...
Hello there. Long time reader, first time wirter.
Today, i had the extreme pleasure of visiting the spiderman set. I was an extra in a couple of the scenes. Just let me sum up the day real quick.
1. An F/X shot went some what wrong so filming was a bit behind for the day.
2. The filming consisted of the following.
a. Green Goblin (not there) attacking a building, so the extras where running around while debris rained down on them. (Raimi was helping with this by tossing rocks himself)
b. During this shot, a lamp post fell onto a cop car which destroyed it. (This is the shot that held up filiming). Continuing off that shot, Two stunt people where "pulled to safety by webbing. (VERY COOL SHOT) The two where "yanked" back real quick before large rocks fell in their place.
c. The moment i waited for all day, THE SUIT was there. The spiderman suit is the most Bitchen thing i have ever seen and it is hands down the best costume in superhero movie history i have ever seen.
d. The scene with the suit was the stunt man in it swinging down, with a child in his arms, and giving the kid back to his mother while a crazy mob ran by. (which i was apart of)
3. Willam Defoe was onset today, but was only watching.
I must say, minus the heat and bad food, it was one of the greatest things i have ever done in a long time. Right now i'm trying to get free for Next monday, which is suppose to be the fight between the Green Goblin and Spiderman. Thats what i've heard at least.
Well thanks for letting me drop a line.
Silentmallrat.
