another quick transition into a different, fictional film, with a new mood and new style. this time, we go back to another mob setting, but instead it is a young lead actor that very much resembles (in more than just looks) a young leonardo dicaprio (circa my to favorite films with him "what's eating gilbert grape?' and "basketball diaries"). so this is one of the biggest compliments i could give to an actor of this age group, and it is well deserved.
this film will definitely get a good release, i see it coming. great story, though goofy at times (but a good goofy, though serious, like the 900 pound mother in gilbert grape, that kind of goofy). deborah harry plays a great part as this boys mother. i need not say much more. just to point out the great job that the director or writer did with using deborah harry as the 80's icon she is in some really funny parts (you'll see what i mean).
