Well it was announced yesterday that the Prequels will be distributed by 20th Century Fox. Expect the trailer soon! Bill Mechanic said a few days ago that they would work on getting a trailer ready for possible distribution in about 3 weeks of the announcement. Corona's Coming Attractions ran a synopsis of the alleged trailer. Well, I've had a couple of people tell me that's what it is. (PS the link to Corona is in my links page) Below is the report I received moments after it was announced, but my busy buttocks wasn't at the computer where it should have been. Sorry. But here's what was said. Interesting television broadcast rights mention below by Todd Tommorow (who doesn't have a liquid metal knifehand through a milk carton and out the back of his head)...
Hey, Harry. Don't know if this exactly qualifies as a scoop, but tonight Bill Mechanic, Peter Chernin, Tom Sherak, and the rest of the bigwigs here at Fox called all employees onto Stage 8 to announce that Twentieth Century Fox will, in fact, be releasing the three Star Wars prequels, and not only that, but the first prequel will not be shown on pay cable -- rather, after its theatrical run, it will run on Fox television. No details beyond that... but if I hear anything, you'll be the first to know.
If this is enough to call me a spy, you can call me Todd Tomorrow.
