What has happened to Joel Schumacher? He took a pretty rough ride from people like me that hated BATMAN & ROBIN, but like a good film maker he's taken his lumps and moved on. Very Professional. Word is he's devoted to making POPCORN followed by 8 MILLIMETER which is scripted by Andrew Kevin Walker. He's that cool dude who wrote Brainscan, Hideaway and some film called SEVEN. This ain't no gigantic budget film, neither is Popcorn. Joel seems to be taking a step back and get his bearings. Good I say. And according to my spy known as "The Incredible Shrinking Woman" Joel is thinking about a certain cool as hell actor who kicks ass in LA CONFIDENTIAL. That's right that downsizing female spy says that the Romper Stomper dude is tops on Schumacher's list for the lead. Expect to be hearing more on this project, because Joel plans to lens early next year. I've heard the script is pretty damn cool, but I haven't seen a copy yet. More on this project later...
