See Bruce Campbell & Liz Hurley! SERVICING SARA Call for Extras in Dallas/Fort Worth Saturday!

Hey Ash fans and movie star wannabes Father Geek has just received the following info you can put to use on your climp to the top...

This is The Nate Dog. I have more news from the only town famous for their downtown motorcades.

Yes...it was that time again... Dallas being used for more location filming on Servicing Sarah. If you want to be an extra in this new romance flick and maybe catch a glimpse of the elusive Mr. Campbell listen up!

Next Saturday February 10th at Ft. Worth's Will Rogers Coliseum they will be doing some crowd scene footage (shooting will begin at 9am). They are shooting a Monster Truck show for the movie!!

SATURDAY SATURDAY SATURDAY!!!! IT'S A MONSTER BLOWOUT!!!! ONE DAY ONLY!!!! BE THERE!!!!!!!!

{in my best monstertruckcommercial/topless bardj/amusement park guy voice}

This past Sunday 2/5/01 shooting for a downtown street scene as well as a restaurant scene took place on Ervay st. blocked all the way over to Ross Ave. I stopped and talked to extras eating in the catering tent (Texans love bbq...especially when it's free).

Apparently the stories posted on the EONLINE website are true. At least the part about my future ex-wife Ms. Hurley. It has been said that Ms. Hurley has been difficult on the set. Some bullshit about her complaining about the car they had provided for her. I didn't see any limos but there were several Lincoln towncars close by. The story on E! said that Matthew Bing...I mean Chandler Perry....Whatever.....hasn't been saying the lines as they are written. He's probably back on the pain pills. But anyways WHO CARES ABOUT THOSE GUYS??? Bruce was on the set. It wasn't clear if he was blocking scenes that day but "the man" and the folding chair with his name on it. I still haven't met Bruce yet...so my collector's edition of Evil Dead remains unautographed. ha ha ha I wonder if they'll do any filming at the Studios in Las Colinas. That place hasn't made a movie in almost a decade. Well anyways I'll keep trying to get more info as it happens.

Peace and Chicken Grease,

The Nate Dog

Here's another eye witness report sent to Father Geek...

Been checking out the AICN site for over six months now and love it!

I work in downtown Dallas and noticed some yellow "Sara" signs taped up on the streets when I came into work this morning. Also noticed some big trucks were parked around the plaza for the Texas Commerce Center building (where I believe they shot some of Robocop all those years ago). Part of the street was blocked off too, but other than that there wasn't much to see and I had to get to work so I didn't think much of it.

However as I was walking to my car after work today I noticed it was a film crew of some sort. So I crossed the street to check it out and found that they were shooting some scenes for the new Matthew Perry/Elizabeth Hurley movie "Servicing Sara". Apparently part of it takes place in the big D. I stood there for about an hour and saw them film the following scenes:

* Cab pulls up to a light and stops. Matthew Perry is in it acting restless.

* Closeup shots of Matthews stunt double in the cab.

* Matthew (now in the cab again sans driver) pulls something from his pocket, looks at it, says some lines to himself, looks around.

* Two guys in suits walk across the plaza behind the cab talking to each other. They then shake hands and part company.

* Further shots of Matthew in the cab looking at something in his hand, saying lines to himself and looking around restlessly.

I wasn't close enough to hear what the actors were saying, but I overheard some gawkers say that they'd shot some restaurant scenes in the Texas Commerce Center rotunda this morning. I looked inside and saw it'd been decked out with a lot of chairs and tables covered in red tablecloth. I asked one of the crew if they'd be shooting scenes tomorrow and he said yes, but a few blocks away. I plan to take my camera with me to work tomorrow and see if I can get some shots/news during lunch.

Now, I'm not a big Matthew Perry or Freinds fan myself, and the scenes I saw weren't really dramatic, but I thought it was neat to watch a movie being filmed. I know this isn't a big scoop or anything but hopefully I'll have more chances in the future to get movie news for you (hey, this IS Dallas after all....!) In the meantime, sign me ...
