Man, anytime I here that Tom Savini is lacquering up a set of fangs and preparing vats of red dyed Hershey syrup, I begin frothing at the mouth. A new vampire flick called COLD HEARTS is going to happen, read below for more...
I'm sure you're familiar with Tom Savini (one of my heroes) so I left out references to his prior effects work and cameos. You can add that info if you think it necessary and if you use my rumor info. BTW- XCELLENT site.
This summer, vampires are hitting the South Jersey shore. COLD HEARTS is slated to be shot in May and June. Rumor has it Tom Savini LTD. is doing the effects, with a possible cameo by Tom. This is a debut film from How Bad Productions, Inc.
The following actors are RUMORED for casting possibilities: Reene Humphrey (Mallrats), Hilliary Swank (Next Karate Kid, 90210), Jeremy London (Party of Five), Joshua Jackson (Dawson's Creek), Charisma Carpenter (Buffy, the Vampire Slayer), and Danielle Fishel (Topanga on Boy Meets World). I might be able to find out some final casting info in about two weeks.
Heres' what I know of the story: COLD HEARTS is a classic tale of boy meets girl and good versus evil... only everyone in the story posesses a secret. And there are many twists and turns. From what I can tell, this is not a traditional vamp flick, although there is said to be some pretty intense scenes. I don't have access to the full script. I guess they want to keep the ending a secret.
