Sundance Hands Out Awards! Read About 'em Here!!!

Hey folks, Here is a rundown on the winners at this year's SUNDANCE. THE BELIEVER sounds like an amazing film from what I have heard, though this has been almost exclusively through phone conversations as NO ONE at Sundance that wrote in this year has written an account of actually having seen this film. Though one bit of interest is that the director and writer of THE BELIEVER, Henry Bean, is the same person that wrote the BASIC INSTINCT 2 script...

Expect a better report about the winners and whether they were the real winners or did we just have a crazy jury that overlooked some other piece of greatness... The Audience Awards are of course usually the films that have the greater success coming out of Sundance, as those awards tend to translate into box office... just because AUDIENCES dig the films. The good news is HEDWIG has a distributor... I can't remember if any of the documentaries have been picked up. Like I said, more info about these films as the reports come in. If you saw any of these and had a different reaction or wanted to herald one... feel free. We didn't get near enough feedback on the International and Latin and Native American parts of the fest... Let's hear about em... Especially that documentary on the real COFFIN JOE!
