Have you ever dreamed of a possible SPAWN vs SPIDER-MAN movie'

Heh... No, it isn't in the works... Harry here, but Columbia and Sony Pictures has just picked up SPAWN rights from Todd McFarlane, in association with noted comic fan and producer (the upcoming FROM HELL) Don Murphy. Hollywood Reporter has broken the story as best I can tell, and ya know, given the 110% Sony seems to be giving Sam Raimi to bring our favorite webslinger to life... it seems that they are pursuing getting into the serious Comic Book cool world of filmmaking. Now as we have long reported, Todd is headed into the deep dark territory with SPAWN, and it will be interesting to see how Sony handles that. So given this is at SONY, forget everything about the previous film... most likely it will be a completely new take... including actors, production designers, effects houses, music, everything. At least that is my hunch.
