I strolled right past the heavily armed men guarding the door ‘cause within’ my Platinum badge thingymajiggy I just wanted them to TRY and stop me, dirty cop bastards… don’t trust ‘em… Anyways I strolled my way to third row, center fer a showing of a picture called BURN. I ain’t did no readin’ on this ‘un ‘fore it started, I love to go to see movies blind and then watch an unknown story unfold before me...
Characters! Characters!! Characters!!! Talk about involving screen personas, this flick was a treat to see. The performances create characters you want to see more of - concerning revenge, paybacks and vengeace, this story of two ‘best’ friends and their intertwining lives will suck you into their twisted and mysterious world.
Produced by Bryan Singer and Adam Duritz, this really cooks! I’m still constantly rethinking the story ,dialogue and sequence of events, even days later – and altho you’ll be hard pressed to make complaint of any of the actors here, you is gonna find yurself smilin’gleefully at the arc of Randall Slavin’s performance, as he traverses one end of the spectrum to the other. Excellent action – tight script, well paced and visually pleasing direction will leave you the viewer anticipatin’ another screenin’ – to take it all back in as you is transported to their dark, mysterious, revealing and involving world. This film will resonate with you for days. And the point driven home? Few meals taste sweeter than revenge.
