Hey folks, Harry here..... Oh... Man... Hats, shirts, pants and shoes off to Patrick and the staff at COMING ATTRACTIONS for negotiating to score a picture that I want to be my entire ceiling right now this very moment! If you can still say, "SPIDER-MAN IS GOING TO SUCK," after you see this baby then please move to a planet far from this one.... or are you already there? MAN, all thoughts of this movie not working are officially gone. Meanwhile... wanna hear something else cool? The following came from The Scoop Man:
Dear Harry,
The other day I had a meeting on the Sony lot and while I was wandering around I managed to weasel my way into the Spiderman Production office. I was amazed how easy it was to just walk right in. There was only two people in their at the time and I can only guess that they were the Production Designers. While I was in there I got a glimpse of what the Green Goblin is going to look like and let me just say it rocks! They also had some pictures of Toby Maguire and man is he jacked. I also managed to take a look at some of the story boards which also looked cool as hell. Although I could not get any of the story out of these guys they did say that they just saw the previous days dailies and said it looked killer.
From what I saw the Green Goblin is pretty true to the form of the comic book. He had the same costume but a little updated and obviously has more of the features of William Defoe, or how ever you spell it. I can say as a long time comic fan I don't think people will be disappointed. This is not like the X-Men where they completely changed the look of the characters so they could fit in the budget. They really are going all out and from the drawings I saw it looks like fans will be happy with what they will put on the screen. I did see the Picture of Toby Maguire and let me tell you he had his sleeves cut off and this kid was jacked. He has really put time into this character and becoming Spiderman, which you have to respect. The story boards were just lying around and I could not get much out of them except in one scene they will have a close up of Spidey's head. Not much of a scoop there.
Well, when the guy says, "from what I saw the Green Goblin is pretty true to the form of the comic book," well... given what you'll see at COMING ATTRACTIONS... I'd say this is about 100% reliable. I should be having some fun stuff for you on SPIDER-MAN coming online very soon as well! Till then.....
