Cronenberg-helmed BASIC INSTINCT 2 not dead yet; look who may be male lead!

Hey folks, Harry here... seems ol' David Cronenberg and his producers are not quite throwing in the towel on BASIC INSTINCT 2 just yet. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that they are currently trying to wrangle Kurt Russell into playing the poor male subjected to the icepick queen with the penchant for grabbing the eyes with her choice of undergarments.

Actually, the idea of Cronenberg directing this film was cool enough... having him direct Kurt Russell though... two icons of cool working together at last? I'm there. I hope Kurt agrees, otherwise I guess we'd have to get Luis Guzman!
