I know this is a little abstract, but after all not every trailer will give away the whole story! The site has a lot of info I haven’t translated completely. It’s difficult to tell what the spellings are in roman letters, but the main character, the woman, is named Asshu, "a proud loner of a female warrior" and member of the Wizards. There is a Game Master, Mafi (the bearded guy, I think, and original leader of the Wizards), the Bishop, and Stanna. The group known as the Wizards is an important part of it for sure – from the computer screen we see, Avalon seems to be a super hyped up role playing game. Probably there’s some site in English which has all this info translated. Anyway there is a lot more here about the story, etc.
Tagline quote from Oshii: "On the digital level, all movies become ‘anime’."
The Japanese version of Playboy magazine on sale since November 25 had a feature with James Cameron interviewing Mamoru Oshii.
