Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The legendary Takashi Miike marks his 100th film with this really badass looking bloody violent crazy-ass samurai film BLADE OF THE IMMORTAL.
What's so cool about this story is it's essentially Miike getting to make a Wolverine movie, but his way. It's about a swordsman who can not die. That doesn't mean that he can't get injured. He gets hurt, loses limbs, you name it, but he can't die.
The Red Band trailer shows how much fun Miike is having with this premise and I can't wait to catch the flick at Fantastic Fest. If you're not lucky enough to be at Fantastic Fest for the US premiere of this movie it's okay. You don't have to wait long. Blade of the Immortal will hit US screens November 3rd.
