Collider got the premiere of the first of 3 BLADE RUNNER Short Films that Denis Villeneuve commissioned to be made to flesh out the world between the original BLADE RUNNER (Ridley Scott) and BLADE RUNNER 2049 (Denis Villeneuve). This first one is set in the year 2036 and is called BLADE RUNNER: NEXUS 2036 and stars Jared Leto as Niander Wallace - who is the new genius behind the Replicant tech advancements. This short is directed by Ridley Scott's son LUKE SCOTT - who made a terrific film about early Replicant like tech called MORGAN. The short also has one of my fave actors around, Benedict Wong.
