ROBOGEEK SITS THROUGH FOUR FLICKS IN ONE DAY AT SXSW! REVIEWS OF "THE LONG WAY HOME," FOUR SHORTS BY EGOYAN, "THE BIG ONE" AND "CANNIBAL: THE MUSICAL."
Greetings, citizens! It is none other than I, Robogeek, once again paying you a visit to share some of my filmgoing experiences from SXSW last week.
Today I'll give you a run-down of four flicks I saw in one day. These days, that's quite a rare thing for me. You see, ol' Robogeek isn't as young as he used to be. Back in the old days, when I was flitting across the globe to the New York, Cannes, Chicago, and Sundance film fests, I'd sit through four or five films a day without batting an eye. One day at the 1992 Chicago Film Fest I even sat through six, just to see if I'd go insane. I didn't but oh, boy, was I dizzy!
Anyway, on a particularly fine spring day last week, I was treated to an eclectic line-up: "The Long Way Home," Four Short Films by Atom Egoyan, "The Big One," and, yes, "Cannibal: The Musical." Buckle up, Spanky!
