Ok you anime fans, looks like LUPIN is moving forward, though I'm not too sure about these casting decisions/rumors. When Tsui Hark was here in Austin last year he was quite excited about this project, and ... a bit shocked I knew about it. Heh heh heh. Well Peter Briggs is involved eh? It sure would be nice to see one of his scripts get to the production side of things. Anyway, here is Bizarre Dwarf's report. Usually he is trying to sell Bibles to Goldie Hawn though...
Tsui Hark, Jim Carrey as Lupin, Armand Asante as Zenigata, together with Goemon's sword, Jigen's Magnum ~ not to mention Fujiko's tight-tight leather gear! et al.
did you know that the original screenplay was written by Alien-vs-Predator's Pete "hellboy" Briggs?
BUT - the rewrite is being done elsewhere ... so I cannot begin to guess if the original fast-paced wise-cracking mega-exciting screenplay will show thru the "producering" process.
lemme tell ya, the first draft? - ROCKED! :) I laughed out loud and had to grab my ears to stop my head spinning! (I never held all of it in my hands, never will now .. but had enough close glimpses of some key sequences to kinda piece it together in the old head-shaped microprocessor!)
