WONDER WOMAN has another trailer - still looks pretty damn great!

Hey folks, Harry here... Patty Jenkins' WONDER WOMAN just needs to get here.  Really, this is one of those things my Mom would've just loved to be around for.   We watched all the Lynda Carter TV shows together, before that we watched the Cathy Lee Crosby TV movie- and after SUPERMAN, she was pretty much expecting the WONDER WOMAN movie like immediately, but she never did get that film in theaters.  Instead she got SOPHIE'S CHOICE, 9 TO 5, YENTL, WORKING GIRL and had replay COFFY, FOXY BROWN, MS. 45 and a shit town of Barbara Stanwyck, Bette Davis, Katherine Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich & Joan Harlow flciks.   She searched for her Female heroes so much so that I made sure to share them with my sister growing up, along with a healthy dose of Ripley & Newt and April O'Neal.    A WONDER WOMAN movie is a long time coming, but just the other day, FatherGeek and I sat down to watch the entire serial PANTHER GIRL OF THE KONGO - where she's fighting the White Devils getting natives addicted to especially engineered addictive drink - plus they're are giant genetically engineered Crawfish attacking the natives.  Only Panther Girl could save them.   I'd only seen the serial with my mom & dad on VHS.   It was eye-opening watching it with the adult brain.

For me, I can't wait to watch this with my baby Sister Satan, she's gonna love a kickass WONDER WOMAN, but Patty Jenkins says there's so much more to WONDER WOMAN than just the action - and we all know how the studios are all about featuring action up front.   SO of course, in this trailer, that's what is being served up here.   But for all of those itching to watch it, watch Patty Jenkins' MONSTER.   That filmmaker, the woman that made that film, that got that performance from Charlize Theron...   You know that the fights she fought on this film was to make PATTY JENKINS happy - and I have faith that if she's happy with this film, it could be remarkable.   At least that's what I'm hoping for out of WONDER WOMAN.

As a dealer of Comic Books and its ephemera from the Seventies through the Nineties, I have met thousands of women seeking WONDER WOMAN merchandize. I've dated quite a few. I've known them to be Doctors, Lawyers, Waittresses, Dancers of all kinds, you name the field, WONDER WOMAN has motivated women in those positions. Not all, but enough. And when I'd talk about William Marston, his inspiration from the early feminists... an always favorite part of interaction was seeing if they knew the Wonder Woman song - which most did. Being a dealer was so much fun. Geeking out with folks about what they love and providing them with something they truly appreciated.

Wonder Woman is coming June 2nd...  I can't wait to see this!

Keep it cool,

Harry
