Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. It's not surprising to me that the Jurassic franchise is going back to its legacy characters in this day and age of the franchise sequel, but it is very welcome news that Jeff Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm is going to turn up in Jurassic World 2 (per THR).
Lots of great things swirling around this sequel. No matter what you thought of the first film you gotta be excited to see JA Bayona behind the camera and Jeff Goldblum coming back to play with some dinosaurs and, hopefully, spout some more bullshit about chaos theory.
The Independence Day sequel was hot trash, but even in that steampile it was fun to see Goldblum playing around in that universe again. I assume the same feeling will permeate the Jurassic World sequel, but hopefully with a decent director and a not-garbage script.
Now the only question is when Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler are thrown back into the mix. Cameo at the end of JW2? Surprise for JW3? It's gonna happen. It has to, right?
Anyway, good news! Makes me even more excited for the next Jurassic flick. You?
