Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Yesterday I posted a quick story about this incredible Robert Shaw likeness sculpted by artist Nick Marra (read here if you missed it). That was a bit of a tease since I didn't want to completely ruin the surprise for those lucky geeks attending MonsterPalooza this weekend. But now that the Cap'n has been unveiled I figured I'd share the rest of the pics of this incredible recreation of Robert Shaw's Quint.
Marra chose to grab one of his most iconic moments where, cool as ice, he chugs a can of Narragansett Beer in one go and crushes the can. He's showing off for Hooper and establishing his alpha male dominance onboard his vessel. The sparkle in his eye as he does this makes the scene more than just Quint being a dick. He's being playful. It's a small thing, but it makes all the difference in the world for his character.
Marra and his team captured that look in this already photoreal sculpt and it floors me every time I see a new photo from it.
