Hey folks, Harry here... I never read Crichton's final novel, mainly because he didn't finish it - and I felt odd about commiting to a work that wasn't completed by the master himself. Not that Richard Preston is a slouch, mind you. But now that Joachim Rønning is set to direct a feature adaptation of it - I think I'll... there, it's loaded on my phone to read! That final title is, of course, MICRO. As is typical of Crichton, there's an assembled group of scientists - this time of the graduate student variety, that get recruited by a mysterious Hawaii based company - and these poor bastages get shrunk and thrown out into a Rainforest to fend for themselves. No word on screenwriter, but since the word is htat this will be Joachim Rønning's next film - I imagine it must be being worked on. Or maybe it's a from scratch and he's committed to doing this. Amblin is making the film with UNIVERSAL. I am excited for more Crichton at our theaters! How about you?
I love the above page of notes by Crichton himself!
Keep it cool,
Harry
