My thanks to The Hollywood Reporter, which broke the casting news officially today about two very cool smaller roles that will be played by that King Among Men, Bruce "FAKE SHEMP" Campbell!!!
He's now officially confirmed as the ref in the wrestling scenes in SPIDER-MAN, a cool enough cameo. Forget that, though. I am now officially dying to see him in THE BIJOU, Frank Darabont's next film, where Bruce will appear in the movie-within-a-movie, SAND PIRATES OF THE SAHARA, a film that was written by the main character, played by Jim Carrey. It's an old-fashioned B&W swashbuckling adventure movie, and Bruce is going to be playing the lead in that film. It's perfect, and I'm officially doing the Snoopy dance of joy. Thank you Sam and Frank... you've both made my morning!!
